VerifiedBulk is a Shopify admin app for bulk-editing products, built and operated by Fioran Research ("we"). This page describes exactly what data the app stores, why, for how long, and what it never touches.
What we store, and why
- Your shop's identity: the myshopify.com domain, the shop owner email address (used for job receipts and service notices), an optional notification email you set in the app, your store's timezone, and your subscription tier.
- Product data snapshots: before any bulk edit or deletion, the app records the affected products' current values — titles, prices, tags, SEO fields, variants (SKUs, barcodes, costs), image references, and metafields. These snapshots exist for one purpose: they power verification, conflict-aware undo, and the recycle bin. When you delete products, their images are copied into your own store's Files so restores keep them — product data stays inside your store.
- Job history: what was edited, when, and the per-item verification results, so you have an auditable record — plus a few first-time milestones for your shop (first edit, first verified job, upgrade) that we read only in aggregate to see whether merchants get value from the app.
- API access tokens issued by Shopify to operate on your store, stored encrypted in transit and at rest by our database provider.
What we never collect
- No customer personal information. The app requests product permissions only; it cannot read your customers, orders, or checkout.
- No payment details. Billing is handled entirely by Shopify and appears on your Shopify invoice.
- No tracking pixels, no analytics SDKs, no ad tech inside the app. Nothing running in your Shopify admin talks to anyone but Shopify and us. (This website uses Google Analytics — see below.)
Retention and deletion
- Job history and undo snapshots are kept for your plan's window (7 days on Free, 90 days on Pro) and then deleted automatically.
- Recycle-bin snapshots are deleted at their restore deadline, or immediately when you purge them — purged means purged, including the image copies in your store's Files.
- When you uninstall the app, Shopify sends us its standard redaction webhook and we delete all stored data for your shop — snapshots, job history, tokens, everything. The only thing that remains is anonymous counts (for example "one install happened this week") that contain nothing identifying your shop.
This website and the App Store listing
verifiedbulk.app uses Google Analytics 4 to count page views and which
links are clicked, so we can tell whether this guide is useful. It runs
with Google's advertising features switched off: no ad personalization,
no Google Signals, no demographics. Google does not store full IP
addresses for this property. If you visit from the European Economic
Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, analytics cookies are off by
default and we do not ask you to turn them on; elsewhere, Google sets
first-party _ga cookies (two-year expiry) that you can clear
or block in your browser at any time.
Our listing on the Shopify App Store reports to the same Google Analytics property. Shopify sends it listing page views and, when you install VerifiedBulk from the listing, an install event that includes your store's myshopify.com domain. We use this only to understand how merchants find the app. Google processes it under Google's privacy policy.
GDPR & data requests
We implement Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks. Because we store no customer personal data, customer data requests and customer redaction requests are acknowledged with nothing to return or delete. Shop redaction requests permanently remove all data we hold for the shop. For any manual request, email us — we respond within 30 days.
Where data lives
The app and its Postgres database run on Railway (US). Email receipts are sent through Resend. Website and App Store listing traffic is measured with Google Analytics (see above); your product data never goes to Google. These providers process data solely to operate the service. Your product data is never sold, shared for advertising, or used to train anything.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the "last updated" date changes and significant changes will be noted in the app.
